Following some rough outings at Kansas Speedway, Truex was the top qualifier Friday and earned the pole position for Saturday night’s GoBowling 400.

“It kind of took us a while to figure out this three-round (qualifying) deal,” Truex told Fox Sports. “Things have been going well and really clicking for us. Hopefully we’ll have something to celebrate.”
Matt Kenseth will join Truex on the front row, with Denny Hamlin and Kurt Busch in Row 2. Brad Keselowski, Kyle Busch, Ryan Blaney, Ryan Newman, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Trevor Bayne round out the top 10.
Tony Stewart, who returned from a back injury two weeks ago, will start 16th in his third race this year.
