It has been a long couple of months since Overwatch 2 first became available to players at the beginning of October, with new issues, bugs, and patches seeming to crop up every other week. While the game generally feels more stable now, it’s safe to say that the title certainly had more than a few issues at launch, with many players being affected by crashes and bugs that could affect anything from the power of some Ultimate abilities to the placements of players in Competitive matches. A couple of heroes were even temporarily removed from the game altogether due to certain complications, though Blizzard seems to have put a lot of effort into ironing out the creases since then.

A clip on Reddit shared by user spookedoutyo shows off a funny glitch which causes the player to fall to their death just seconds after rejoining the battle. After dying as Roadhog on the Route 66 map, the player can be seen changing to Reinhardt while waiting to respawn. For some reason, the laws of physics ceased to apply to them as they respawned, causing them to phase through the floor and immediately die again. While it’s uncertain exactly what caused the issue and how often it affects players, some fans have suggested that it can occur after switching heroes, due to some players having similar experiences in the Mystery Heroes game mode.

Sadly, issues like this go to show that Overwatch 2 still isn’t as polished as some players would like. While this particular glitch might be nothing more than a nuisance for casual players, possibly even prompting a laugh out of some, it would carry a more significant penalty for players in ranked matches and could make an especially big difference in games where the two teams are battling it out during overtime.

A recent issue causing Tracer’s damage output to be higher than normal at further distances has been a slightly divisive issue for some as well. Though many fans support the possibility of Tracer receiving a buff, others aren’t having such a good time fighting off against more effective Tracers at the moment. The developers have made it clear that they’re aware of the issue along with many others, though whether that involves a fix for this clipping glitch is yet unknown.

Overwatch 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
