Analysis of Kiriko’s healing has already shown that she has the potential to be very strong. Take the Support character Mercy, for comparison. Mercy is considered a consistent and reliable Overwatch 2 healer. Analysis of her healing ability shows that she heals for around 55 health per second. Kiriko, if she lands all of her talismans, heals for an astonishing 72 health per second. The difference is that Kiriko has to aim at her target while throwing heals and then the target has to maintain a loose line of sight until the talismans reach them.

That will hopefully help convey how impressive it is that Reddit user Dvinearrow666, or DEATH in Overwatch 2, managed to reach an astonishing 27,270 healing in a Competitive match with Kiriko. The screenshot they shared on Reddit shows the end-of-game scoreboard. It showed that they healed their team for 27,270 while outputting around 1,831 damage. The damage may be low, but the healing shows they didn’t have much time to do anything else.
For reference, an analysis of average healing using data collected by OverBuff.com for Overwatch shows that most matches result in a healer accruing between 7 and 13 thousand healing. Even at Grandmasters ranking, a healer on top-healer Moira only averaged around 15.6 thousand healing. Dvinearrow666 reaching 27,270 healing with Kiriko is near twice that average.
To be fair, Dvinearrow666 does have a couple of advantages. They’re in Open Queue Competitive play, where (as shown in the screenshot) competition can be very one-sided. Open Queue also allowed Dvinearrow666 to solo heal for their team, so they didn’t have to compete for healing. Their team also has two Tanks, who can soak a lot of damage without dying. In other words, this single match isn’t fairly comparable to Solo Queue Competitive matches which have two Supports, one Tank, and more frantic competition.
What Dvinearrow666 accomplished does deserve to be recognized, though. They landed all of the shots necessary to reach over 27 thousand healing, something few healers could do even if they tried their hardest. It’s by no means a record, especially compared to Overwatch where there were 6-player teams and so more targets to heal, but it could make some Overwatch 2 players reconsider Kiriko’s relative strength in the current meta.
Overwatch 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
