In Overwatch, Sojourn’s weapon of choice is her railgun, which rapidly shoots energy projectiles when using primary fire. The railgun’s secondary fire shoots high impact shots using stored energy. Sojourn’s abilities in Overwatch also include a Power Slide that should give players added mobility options, as well as a Disruptor Shot that slows and damages enemies. And finally, Sojourn’s Ultimate in Overwatch is Overclock, which causes her railgun to fire powerful charged shots that can pierce through enemies.

The Sojourn gameplay video Blizzard released showcases these abilities in action. While battling it out on the Overwatch 2 New Queen Street map, based in Sojourn’s home country of Canada, Sojourn utilizes her abilities to overcome her opponents. In one clip, the Disruptor Shot is sent behind the enemy team’s shield to help break up a choke, and Sojourn uses her Power Slide to close the distance between herself and in her foes in another shot.
The Overwatch 2 Sojourn gameplay clip also shows off her Overclock Ultimate ability. Sojourn sends it blasting through Ashe’s BOB companion, an unlucky Wrecking Ball that’s caught in the middle, and finally Ashe, who is perched on a nearby ledge. It looks as though this will be an especially devastating Ultimate ability, and similarly too Sojourn’s Disruptor Shot, could be great for pushing through choke points.
The new Sojourn gameplay video comes just a day after Blizzard released the character’s origin story. As revealed in that video, Sojourn had a leadership role in Overwatch and was recruited to the organization by Soldier 76. It will be interesting to see what else there is to learn about her relationship with Soldier, though that will likely have to wait until the sequel is finally out.
As it stands, there is no firm Overwatch 2 release date. However, it should be noted that Sojourn isn’t just going to be a part of the sequel. Since Overwatch and Overwatch 2 share PvP, Sojourn will be coming to the original game as well.
Overwatch is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
