Since Overwatch 2 launched as a free-to-play title for all players, the game has shifted towards the use of microtransactions more than the community would prefer. With the new shop feature, players are able to purchase all sorts of cosmetics, bundles, and even a battle pass by using a new virtual currency called Overwatch Coins. Though this currency can be earned for free in small amounts by completing challenges, fans have been largely unimpressed with the costs of skins so far....

Heroes such as Hanzo can earn new abilities that add a dynamic to their current abilities by leveling, like how Hanzo’s arrows will seek out and damage any enemy that is scanned by his Sonic Arrow. Recently, players have been making their own ability concepts for what they would like to see from heroes in Overwatch 2 that haven’t had their abilities showcased yet. Despite being the newest hero added to Overwatch 2, Kiriko has already proven herself to be one of the best supports in the game. This is due to her impressive abilities that aid her survivability in battle and enable her teammates. Chief among these is her Kitsune Rush, which quickens movement, increases attack speed, and decreases cooldown times for her teammates nearby. While this Ultimate ability is already one of the more effective in the game, one fan thinks they might have come up with an alternative, which at the very least, is more amusing....

Though some players had no problems when entering their phone numbers and accessing the game, other players were unable to overcome this barrier to entry as either they were rejected due to the kind of phone they used or if they didn’t have a phone of their own. Blizzard’s highly anticipated first-person online shooter will be going live on October 4 as a free-to-play title across PC and consoles, and the original Overwatch will see its servers shut down to accommodate the latest entry. However, some players have pointed out similarities between certain unlockable cosmetics that have a striking resemblance to those found in the original. Responding to fans on the game’s official forums, Kaplan admitted that Bastion “is a little too powerful right now,” though he disagreed that the character is an “I Win button” choice of hero. Kaplan also noted that “emotions run so high” that it can be difficult to make balance changes, suggesting that some Overwatch players may be overreacting a little. YouTube gamer Arekkz recapped the hints and teases found by Overwatch players, and the evidence seems pretty convincing. The round-up-style video starts off by focusing on a change made to the payload in the Numbani map, which was previously discovered by Reddit user Venxa. Players found an unfinished model of a destroyed Numbani payload, which contained Doomfist’s gauntlet within the glass. The video then shifted to another big find: menu music....

The early access release of Overwatch 2 has been rough for most players. Pac-Man World Re-Pac is a full-fledged remake of the original Pac-Man World game, significantly upgrading the graphics while retaining the PS1 game’s level design, for better or worse. The game starts with Pac-Man’s family and friends kidnapped by ghosts, and so the titular yellow hero sets off to save them. As one might have guessed, this requires going through a variety of themed worlds and gathering collectible items in typical 3D platformer fashion....

The Pacers and Hawks are tied at a game apiece heading into Game 3 in Atlanta on Thursday. Reserve Luis Scola added 20 points and seven rebounds for the Pacers. Just a few days ago, Blizzard announced that Overwatch 2 would be receiving a new playable hero in its next Season. Named Ramattra, long-time fans of Overwatch will already recognize this character as the leader of the Omnic terrorist organization Null Sector. Looking to free their people through any means necessary, Null Sector is a fairly sympathetic villain, but its members have done some pretty horrific things in pursuit of that goal....

Leaving Kiriko out of Competitive meant that all Overwatch 2 players were playing on an even playing field. Unlike Overwatch 1, Overwatch 2 doesn’t give away new heroes for free. Instead, players either have to purchase the Overwatch 2 premium battle pass or grind all the way to level 55 to unlock her for use in the game. While it’s unlikely that anyone currently in Overwatch 2 Competitive doesn’t already have access to Kiriko, there’s a chance some might not, which could put them at a disadvantage if they are playing the Support role....

Reddit user SergiGamer056 has captured an Overwatch 2 video of their attempts to push back the enemy back on the Dorado map, resulting in an unintentional stroll into the opposing team’s spawn room. Because Dorado is one of the many Overwatch 2 payload escort maps, defending players regularly push the other team back so far that they can’t leave their spawn room, but entering the enemy team’s room is a rare occurrence....

With Overwatch 2’s early access launch, Blizzard has introduced the Defense Matrix initiative, which it says is its way of defending the community from toxic players and cheaters. This includes some controversial decisions, like requiring new Overwatch 2 players to register their phone number in order to play the game, as well as recording and transcribing game chat audio. It’s unclear if the Overwatch 2 Defense Matrix initiative has had any impact on the game’s toxicity, but anyone that plays the game regularly will be well aware that toxicity is still a major problem in the game regardless....
