Live right now, the latest experimental update for Overwatch brings back Mercy’s original Resurrection, and for those that never got a chance to mess around with it, they may be shocked by how powerful it is. The ability allowed Mercy to resurrect entire teams, with up to five players able to be brought back all at once. Obviously, this would completely sway a fight, making Mercy a must-have hero until Blizzard eventually made adjustments to her kit....

The esports Overwatch League (OWL) previously announced structural changes for its 2021 season that begins in April, but before then multiple teams took part in the SteelSeries Invitational on February 28 - hosted by tech developer and esports brand SteelSeries. It is no surprise that the development team are still fine-tuning Doomfist’s abilities given how he is the newest character to be introduced into Overwatch, and the newest PTR update sees two big changes made to the hero. The first change involves slightly nerfing the character’s Rocket Punch attack, whereby the total distance traveled is reduced by 20%. Players will have perhaps noticed this change earlier on the PTR, but this is the first acknowledgement about the tweak made by Blizzard....

In the latest patch notes for the Overwatch PTR (Public Test Region) on PC, Blizzard has made significant tweaks to Mercy to make her weaker. This includes increasing the Resurrect cast time from zero seconds to 1.75 seconds as well as reducing the character’s movement speed by 75% when she is casting the ability. Mercy’s Resurrect can also be interrupted when she is knocked back, stunned, or hacked, making Doomfist, McCree and Sombra good counters for the support character....
