The MEKA construction is fully capable of wheeled movement, has spinning reproductions of the MEKA’s guns, moving arms, speakers for voice lines, and spews fog in a faux-Self Destruct. Even D.Va might mistake it for her own MEKA. The creator of this unbelievable cosplay, if it can even be considered cosplay at this point, is named Mike Carambat AKA retroresource. His daughter is a big D.Va fan and is cosplaying as her during a couple upcoming conventions, so Carambat, a big fans of cosplay himself, went the extra mile....

One fan in particular has shared a new design for D.Va to fit in with Overwatch’s Winter Wonderland event, although it definitely takes a much more interesting approach to the theme than many of the official designs. Reddit user Ow_yamyam recently shared their Overwatch cookies, all of which share clear similarities with various characters from the Activision Blizzard title. The baked goods included Ana, Hammond (aka Wrecking Ball), Junkrat, Lucio, McCree, Orissa, various Pachimari, Pharah, Roadhog, Sigma, Torbjorn, Tracer, and a Winston that is actively raging. The specifics of the Torbjörn rework were shared through the most recent Overwatch Developer Update, and were delivered, as usual, by head honcho Jeff Kaplan. First off, armor packs have been removed. Gone are the days of flinging them all over the stage for players to collect. This means the scrap system is also, well, scrapped. This secondary ability is being replaced by Overload, which is similar to how his previous Ultimate, Molten Core, functioned....

Nevertheless, despite the proclivity of these in-game tributes it’s always touching to see a developer recognize its fans, especially those who were taken far too early. And that’s what Overwatch did this week, with a tribute to a fan that unfortunately never got to play Blizzard’s highly anticipated game. Hongyu Wu was 20-years-old and was early anticipating the launch of Overwatch, Blizzard’s (at the time) forthcoming hero shooter. He, like many Blizzard fans out there, was counting down the days until Overwatch’s release, and likely built up a ton of anticipation playing the many beta tests the game had....

However, this did not happen, as instead he will become mobile while in turret form and get some new abilities. The Uprising event, which includes the co-op Uprising Brawl, the accompanying all-hero Arcade mode, and the exclusive Uprising Loot Boxes filled with unique skins, will go offline at 5:00pm PT May 2. Phase 1 has already begun and involves the announcement of the event itself, but also serves to make the international community aware of how to qualify. Blizzard’s tracking the skill level of the top 100 players from the 50 countries which are able to be invited. Only the top 32 teams with the highest skill level ratings by April 24 will be invited. Phase 2 will involve a vote to see which players represent each country, starting in April....

Overwatch has a long history of Halloween events, with Halloween Terror taking place consistently every year of the hero shooter’s existence. 2022 will be no exception to the rule, though it’s likely that this year’s Halloween Terror event will look a bit different from previous years. Besides the opportunity for new Halloween skins to be included in the Overwatch 2 Halloween Terror 2022 event, fans will also be treated to a new version of a popular game mode....

Overwatch 2 has confirmed on its main menu that the end date for Halloween Terror is November 8, a mere 13 days away. Halloween Terror began on October 25 and although some Overwatch 2 players are unhappy with skin prices, there are free rewards for fans to progress towards by playing during the event or watching Twitch streams. Overwatch 2 players will be able to acquire the Legendary Cursed Captain for Reaper and a Sombra player icon simply by playing the game during Halloween Terror, while the Werewolf Winston skin and spray are available to fans that watch hours of their favorite Twitch streamers....

Though the original Orisa played a crucial role and was usually a good pick for any team comp, most fans felt that she was a chore to play. In the sequel, Orisa can deal a lot of damage on her own and has some flashy abilities that make her far more appealing, with this rework being one of the most exciting Overwatch 2 changes thus far. Unfortunately, while Tanks are now exciting and Damage heroes remain fun, Support heroes have lost a lot of their appeal - meaning some Orisa-level reworks could be helpful....

Kiriko was revealed as one of Overwatch 2’s newest heroes when it launched last October. She is a kunai-wielding Support hero who can heal allies, as well as climb up walls and teleport to the nearest ally. Her Ultimate ability, Kitsune Rush, summons her kitsune spirit to buff her teammates’ movement speed and reduce their skill cooldown timer. Expensive skins and the reused Junkenstein’s Revenge mode aside, the new Wrath of The Bride game mode is an excellent addition to Overwatch’s roster of Halloween-themed games. It moves away from the horde-mode gameplay of the original Junkenstein’s Revenge in favor of a more narrative-driven experience. Those who found the idea of defeating waves of enemies boring or want something scarier might find something to enjoy in Wrath of The Bride....

In the lead-up to Overwatch 2’s early access release, Blizzard gave fans an idea of what they could expect from the game’s seasons. Whereas Overwatch 1 has suffered from rather extreme content droughts, Blizzard is determined that Overwatch 2 will have a steady stream of new content.
