When Overwatch 2 first launched, Blizzard took a surprising but fair stance. Console players participating in crossplay would not be given any aim assist, regardless of what game mode they were participating in. That decision was obviously to Overwatch 2 PC players’ benefit, given the comparative strength of the mouse and keyboard control scheme. However, it also inarguably left console players, and particularly the average console player, at a disadvantage while playing crossplay....

Ana’s bird is certainly not the only bird in Overwatch. For instance, Bastion’s feathered friend Ganymede is a major part of his lore, and it never leaves the robot’s side. Whether it is appearing in emotes or highlight intros, Ganymede is constantly making its presence known, and Blizzard even gives the bird makeovers with each of Bastion’s legendary outfits. Unfortunately, while Ganymede is working perfectly fine in Overwatch 2, Ana’s pet parrot is no longer present when gamers equip the Corsair skin....

On Twitter, a user named Voporeon posted a series of images they claimed are from Overwatch 2, stating the images are from a Facebook group that they are part of. In the first set of images, the player is able to choose from six talents for Brigitte. One of these is Godfather’s Legacy which gives Brigitte Reinhardt’s shield, and another gives her a friend called Mitzi, a cat with a backpack....

Reddit user u/meme_review_hoster believes sprays could be useful as stickers to attach on an Overwatch 2 hero’s weapon. Sprays would still serve their purpose as an external cosmetic, but players would be able to add these sprays to their weapon for additional flair. To demonstrate how a spray would look on a weapon, u/meme_review_hoster created a mockup image to depict a spray selection menu for weapons. Each season of Overwatch 2 comes with a batch of improvements to Blizzard’s FPS, from minor hero adjustments to the release of new characters or maps. Overwatch 2 removed the loot boxes from the original game in favor of a Battle Pass system, allowing players to unlock themed cosmetics for a fixed fee every season. As a new season is coming out soon, players will discover the new Season Pass and its exclusive rewards....

The Overwatch Anniversary event will begin on May 21st, and will last until June 10th. While there will be the expected new wave of skins, emotes, and sprays for players, Blizzard will be making everything from past seasonal events available to earn or purchase. In total, there are six new legendary skins and three epic skins players can pick during the three-week event. For those who spend adequate time playing as Baptiste, Ashe, or Wrecking Ball, the three newest characters added to Overwatch, they’ll each be getting new dance emotes as well....

Typically, the Overwatch Winter Wonderland event starts mid-December, with the latest it’s ever been started being December 15 for Winter Wonderland 2020. The event then runs for a few weeks, wrapping up in early January. While a specific date has yet to be announced for Overwatch Winter Wonderland 2021, many had assumed that the event would start sometime this week, and while that may very well still happen, it looks like it will be taking place a little later than expected....

This is not the first time that Overwatch fans have gotten creative with their tributes to the character. High effort Brigitte cosplays have seen the character brought to life in the real world, while players have redesigned her moveset via some Workshop creations. However, SilverGarnet21’s work with their Brigitte skin truly is top tier, and it would be great to see Blizzard eventually adding something resembling the design to the game....

Blizzard officially made the announcement today by way of the game’s blog, saying that it won’t be skimping on the content, as it will be providing Overwatch’s full roster of 24 heroes and 14 maps available for play in a bunch of different modes such as Quick Play, Custom Games, and the Arcade. Moreover, fans who take part in the upcoming free weekend for the shooter will also have the chance to level up, earn Loot Boxes, and unlock a several different customization options....

This hasn’t stopped Blizzard from working to even out Overwatch’s gameplay. The patch notes for the March 11, 2021 update show that there will be buffs applied to various heroes in the game. The full list of heroes receiving buffs includes Genji, Mei, Pharah, Reaper, Sigma, and Zarya. The patch will be going live today for Overwatch on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One. Since the new tank hero Sigma joined the Overwatch roster just this past year, Winter Wonderland 2019 marks the first opportunity for him get a holiday-themed skin for the hero-shooter. The Sigma Winter Wonderland skin is Rime Sigma, and it will be available for players to unlock beginning Tuesday, December 10 and until the Overwatch Winter Wonderland 2019 event ends on Thursday, January 2. In Overwatch, Sojourn’s weapon of choice is her railgun, which rapidly shoots energy projectiles when using primary fire. The railgun’s secondary fire shoots high impact shots using stored energy. Sojourn’s abilities in Overwatch also include a Power Slide that should give players added mobility options, as well as a Disruptor Shot that slows and damages enemies. And finally, Sojourn’s Ultimate in Overwatch is Overclock, which causes her railgun to fire powerful charged shots that can pierce through enemies....

The latest skins revealed for the Year of the Pig Lunar New Year event are for Torbjorn and Reinhardt. Both skins give the heroes a decidedly younger look than they usually have, with the new Zhang Fei Torbjorn skin dying his hair black, adding some color to his cheeks, and removing the wrinkles on his aged face. He explained that because Blizzard and the title’s creative team want to allow players the time to explore Orisa and the full extent of her capabilities, she will not be placed into the Competitive Play roster upon her official release.
